ABOUT ME
MY STORY
I am a former preschool teacher turned UX Designer. Finding design has given my life purpose and passion, but I keep my roots as a teacher close to me. While teaching I learned so much about empathy, listening, understanding, and leadership. I carry these important lessons with me every day as a designer. I want to do work that has a widespread impact. I like to explore, tinker, and bend things around to re-imagine them as something different. I see possibility in almost everything and make connections that others may not.
Beyond design, I'm a dog mom to two German Shepherds, Zeus and Sky, whose endearing and often comical personalities influence my hand-lettering work, some of which can be seen below. I enjoy exploring the outdoors and find solace and inspiration in hiking along mountain trails or by serene riverbanks. I also enjoy roaming the city and finding great restaurants or local coffee shops to sit and create at. These experiences fuel my creativity and remind me of the endless possibilities that surround us.
Hand Lettering
One of my favorite hobbies is hand lettering and sketching. You can find a few examples of my creations below.
